Job/Department Summary:
Working independently under general supervision of the Director of WellCat Counseling Center (WCCC), provides wide-ranging administrative support, including maintaining budget records, fiscal oversight and budgetary analysis, payroll preparation and oversight, human resource documentation, and providing lead work direction and supervising student employees.
Duties are performed with independence and responsibility for interpretation and implementation of the unit's policies, procedures, and guidelines. Independent judgment in determining whether an activity or issue is within the campus and University policies, procedures, and guidelines is necessary. Administrative support projects often involve coordinating, prioritizing, and monitoring through their completion with accountability for end results and work performed by others.
Required Education and Experience:
This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Bilingual
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PeopleSoft (or other similar database).
- Web design programs, Adobe Sign and Acrobat, and desktop publishing experience
Time Base: Full-time- 1.0
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $46,368 - $72,864 per year.
