We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Program/Product Quality Engineer with our Global Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Sensors and Software team.
This position is an onsite role at our Westford, MA location.
What You Will Do
Act as primary Quality focal for pod based ISR systems across one or multiple programs/customers.
Act as Quality Cost Account Manager (CAM) for assigned programs and develop bid estimates for proposed programs utilizing Bid Master Web (BMW).
Manage and drive resolution of Quality Notifications for assigned programs.
Review contract deliverables and coordinate with program personnel and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for DD250 sell-off / customer acceptance.
Serve as a program quality liaison for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Working experience with Quality Management Systems, to include ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.
Working experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
Working experience interpreting technical drawings.
Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.
Previous experience using quality tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping).
Working experience with Quality Notification process within SAP.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with CORE or another Continuous Improvement Programs.
Working experience using resources such as 5S, Process Mapping/Analysis, Lean Six Sigma (6Sigma), Red X.
Experience with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control.
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, Design Failure Modes, and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and/or Control Plans.
Previous experience with optical ISR systems
Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102.
