SENIOR REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS’ AFFAIRS

Annual Salary: $72,113.08

Shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

This position is overtime eligible.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes and Domiciliary are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Emory L. New employees as well as returning employees that have been separated from the Department for a period of 12 months or more may be ‎eligible for the sign-on bonus of $3,500. (This amount will be paid over a one-year period at 6-month intervals. Any employee leaving employment with the agency or moving to OPS prior to that timeframe will forfeit any additional bonus reimbursement.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current employee of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs
• Licensure as a Florida State Registered Professional Nurse.
• Three (3) years of professional nursing, psychiatric nursing or nursing instructions experience.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or nursing education can substitute for one year of the required experience. (Professional nursing experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.) 
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and basic computer skills.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• Willing to work weekends and/or holidays as required.
• Successful completion of the employment screening process to include, but not limited to, a national background investigation and drug test.‎

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a long-term healthcare environment with a geriatric population.
