SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Director of Quality Assurance & Compliance reports to the Chief Program Officer and is responsible for assisting operations senior leaders to create, administer, and evaluate systems for Venture’s residential and day program sites. The Director assists with corporate compliance and project management as requested. The Director focuses on collaboration with all Venture departments to facilitate the Agency’s mission while maintaining excellent in service delivery. The Director oversees the Quality Assurance Manager, Data Manager and Assistive Technology Technician. This is a salary, exempt position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify programmatic needs and develop recommendations regarding ways to improve current systems.
- Works with operational senior leaders to create and administer program systems for day and residential programs.
- Develop and deliver training around created systems.
- Oversees Quality Assurance.
- Responsible for managing corporate compliance, to include:
- OQE process
- CARF process
- Grant Reporting
- Oversees the Data Manager who is responsible for creating dashboards and reports regarding Agency performance on a multitude of metrics.
- Identifies technologies to reduce workloads.
- Acts in a project manager capacity for identified Agency initiatives.
- Works with the A Technician to ensure completion of AT assessments and staff/individual training regarding Assistive Technologies.
- Builds strong cross-functional partnerships with key corporate departments to include, Human Resources, Professional Development, Nursing and Finance.
- Works collaboratively with the Senior Directors of Day and Residential Services to ensure systems compliance.
- Completes special projects or additional job duties as assigned.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attendance at administrative and other meetings as required.
- Observe all Agency policies and procedures.
- Accept responsibility and accountability as part of position.
- Maintain CPR & AED and other professional certifications.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates skills in leadership, supervision, collaboration and training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of office equipment.
- Ability to establish rapport with the disabled population, their families, co-workers and service providers.
- Ability to travel 10 to 60 miles between residential programs as needed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify and manage multiple priorities and work in fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, supervision, conciliation, teamwork, and training.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, reach, and file.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A. or B.S. degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Three plus years of Quality Assurance experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Minimum three years’ experience working in Human Services in a supervisory capacity
- Must be 21+ years old, have a valid driver’s license, daily use of a car on site and be available by telephone for daily contact.
