Job Summary
The Standard Missile 3 team is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the SM-3 IB program as a Senior Material Program Manager located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This role will be dedicated to managing Supplier Capacity projects and ensuring our supply base can meet future demand. We are looking for a self-starter who can develop and achieve program objectives in a matrixed environment and is able to successfully interface with functional and program senior leadership. In this highly visible role, you will be the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Team for Supply Chain. This position is contingent upon a contract award. Employment in this role will only be extended if the program is awarded to the Standard Missile 3 portfolio.
This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of leading teams, customer negotiation support, and subcontract management and project management (to include program start up as well as execution).
The successful candidate will influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
- Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
- Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
- Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives
- Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.)
- Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
- Management of timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity management
- Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <40%)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years prior relevant Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 7 years experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing
- Experienced professional who has worked in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- Experience with Supply Chain and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
- Experience in Project Management
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Supplier management experience
- CORE or similar Six Sigma Specialist
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related.
- Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs) experience
- Experience managing program cost and schedule
- Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs)
- Experience with Earned Value Management and/or Financial forecasting
- Execution experience of multiple program and contract types (i.e EMD, LRIP, FRP, Cost and Fixed Price)
