Location: Shared Service Systems
Address: - 1725 South 20th Street Omaha, NE

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 3:00pm to 11:30pm overtime as needed

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, prepares for the restocking of incoming shipments as well as for customers outgoing orders by using various powered equipment. Becomes familiar with stocked items and alerts warehouse supervisor when shortages occur. Keeps warehouse clean and orderly.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

For Day Shift Personnel

  • Upon completion of orientation the employee successfully performs all functions of distribution activities including receiving, restock, picking using WWMS, and operate all distribution equipment and clippership.

  • Receives and stocks new inventory using the wireless scanner (WWMS) from the receiving area to the primary area according to the priority from the inventory coordinator.

  • Restocks and rotates new and overflow inventory to the Primary Bins.

  • Tags all overflow inventories with the proper ID label.

  • Fills customer orders according to the priority set up by the warehouse supervisor using WWMS.

  • Stacks, repacks, and wraps orders for transportation to the customer facility.

  • Operates high lifts, and powered pallet jacks within the warehouse area.

  • Practices good safety habits in and around the warehouse.

  • Assists in keeping the areas in and around the warehouse clean and orderly.

For Evening Shift Personnel

  • Upon completion of orientation the employee successfully performs all functions of distribution activities including receiving, restock, picking using WWMS, and operate all distribution equipment and clippership.

  • Fills Pick Tickets using WWMS according to priorities set by Warehouse Supervisor.

  •      o     Packages, palletizes, and labels filled orders to be Quality Control Inspected on outgoing pallets to be loaded on trucks

  • Operates powered lift trucks inside the warehouse using good safety habits.

  • Becomes familiar with location, product descriptions, stock numbers, and units of issue on all stock items.

  • Receives cross training in areas such as quality control, high reach lift, and creating shipping tickets.

  • Assists in physical inventories.

Job Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.


Experience

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.


License/Certifications

  • Successful completion of Motorized Pallet Jack training required.
  • Must successfully complete hazmat and forklift certification with regard to job specific function with a score of 80% within 30 days of hire and every 3 years after.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding, reading, speaking, and writing the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to adhere to all workplace and safety requirements, regulations, standards and practices.
  • Skilled in the use of personal computers and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution/laundry operations and processes.
  • Ability to operate WWMS (Wireless Scanner).
