Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for the organization and its subsidiaries. This role partners with business units to provide financial insights, improve reporting, and support decision-making. The position also contributes to financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Prepare recurring financial reports and assist in developing materials for senior management and board presentations
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and support for capital investment evaluations
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Support financial oversight of projects through tracking, reporting, and analysis
- Contribute to M&A activities, including financial modeling, due diligence support, and integration analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions
- Partner with internal teams to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
- Assist with internal audit requests and other special projects as needed
Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
- 2–5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, but Not Required:
CPA with Big 4 experience preferred but not required.
- MBA preferred but not required.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
- 2+ years Corporate Finance experience preferred.
