Role and Responsibilities:
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and foreign currency reconciliation.
- Load and reconcile data in SAP S4 and FDMEE/Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Conduct accounting research and draft technical position papers.
- Provide audit support and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statement analytics and management reports.
- Act as primary contact for assigned sectors, ensuring effective communication.
- Participate in special projects and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly SAP S4.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm.
- CPA or actively pursuing licensure.
- Experience with Blackline, SAP, and Hyperion Financial Management.
- Strong GAAP accounting proficiency and research experience.
- Understanding of government contract accounting regulations, cost accounting standards, and federal acquisition regulations.
