YPrime’s Quality team is looking for a Quality Investigator to be responsible for helping to lead the team in investigations into software defects, failures and user-reported issues to determine root causes. You’ll be based in our Raleigh, North Carolina office.

Does our mission sound like something you can get behind?  If so, here’s what we need from you:

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using software diagnostic tools
• Proficient in SQL and C# programming languages, with a solid understanding of software development environments
• Experience utilizing complex applications using C#, .Net, Xamarin, SQL Server, JavaScript, RESTFul to Identify defects/root causes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues clearly and concisely
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field, with a focus on problem-solving and quality improvement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or related experience
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management skills

Here are some more details about the job:

• You'll assist the support team with troubleshooting and resolution of issues reported on production systems
• You'll collaborate with software developers, product managers, and customer support teams to gather relevant information and user feedback
• You'll work cross functionally with front and back-end development to investigate all aspects of the system
• You'll work within and across Agile teams to deliver, and support technical solutions
• You'll employ systematic problem-solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Cause and Effect Diagrams to uncover underlying issues in software design and functionality
• You'll develop detailed corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) to enhance software reliability and prevent future issues
• You'll document findings and recommendations in comprehensive investigation reports, and present these to senior management and key stakeholders
• You'll monitor the implementation of solutions to ensure they effectively resolve issues without introducing new problems
• You'll reproduce software bugs, suggesting fixes, and provide clear and concise responses to tasks assigned during core hours
• You'll stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies that could improve the investigation process or software quality
• You'll assist in preparing for external audits and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO-8000, Health Authority regulations, and other relevant software quality standards
