About the role

The Security Integrations (SI) teams develop the hundreds of security integrations powering the Elastic Security platform. Our users depend on our integrations to collect and correlate large amounts of data and detect threats in their environments quickly.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Security Service Integrations team. The SSI team is responsible for building and maintaining the variety of integrations as well as the critically important input and processor components that underlie them.

We will collaborate with the broader Security and Platform teams to find creative solutions to deliver outstanding user experiences.

What you will be doing:

• Build new third party integrations with different security solutions, including defining Elasticsearch processing pipelines, mapping data sources into a common schema and Kibana dashboards.
• Contribute to the free and open ingest infrastructure powering our integrations, including Elastic Agent and Beats.
• Collaborate with our support team and answer community questions.
• Support our partners, contractors, and community members in building their own integrations.

What you bring along:

• In-depth knowledge and 4+ years of experience developing software.
• Experience writing Golang code.
• Experience writing robust, production code, with a track record of delivering high-quality software products.
• Experience building integrations with third party APIs or lower level system interfaces.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Excitement to work and integrate with new technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a distributed and collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience in cybersecurity.
• Production experience with Elasticsearch, Elastic Agent, or Beats.
• Experience with parsing logs and events (ideally in the context of security or observability).
