Job Description

Hawkeye is looking for our next Director of Analytics to lead a cross functional team of data scientists and analysts in growing the business. You are an experienced professional, statistician, developer, and marketing strategist. Your experience matters, your voice matters. You need to be present, aware, and vocal through all phases of the marketing process.

In this hands on role you will be guiding the client and agency strategists from the insights process through results analysis.  Your team designs experiments, uses statistical methods to size audiences and control groups, documents data selection instructions for marketing execution teams, collects, cleanses, and analyzes data.

Even more importantly, the Director of Analytics is a skilled communicator and collaborator, working with peers across client and agency teams to create consensus and establish best practices. 

 

Key areas of Expertise:

1.     Expert in SQL – Snowflake / SQL Server preferred

2.     Development and interpretation of descriptive statistics

3.     Development of experimental designs, sizing audiences, eliminating bias, isolating controls

4.     Expert data wrangler using Python, R, SPSS – other

5.     Planning and leading exploratory data analysis

6.     Developing appropriate visuals to tell your story

7.     Presentation – developing the narrative, and presenting your findings

Qualifications

Skills:

·       Communications: Clear English speaker, reading and writing

·       Snowflake / SQL Server / Advanced SQL

·       Statistical Programming (SAS, Python, R, SPSS etc.)

·       Advanced Excel – Pivot tables, Power Query, complex dynamic charts

·       Visualization tools – Power BI, Tableau etc.

·       PowerPoint / Google slides

·       Marketing automation platform experience - Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Experience:

·       10+ years of advanced analytics expertise

·       5+ years managing clients, and direct reports, developing and leading successful analytics teams

·       QSR Restaurant / retail analytics experience

·       5+ years CRM / Digital Media experience

·       Agency experience or other client facing experience

Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing/Analytics, or Data Science

·       Graduate level certificate or Master’s degree preferred

·       Technical training certificates in Python, SQL, Data Science a plus
