Production Analyst II

The Production Analyst II is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of raw materials and components to support production requirements and maintenance of MRP and supporting systems.

This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

• Maintain adequate inventory levels of raw materials, components, and subassemblies that support daily production requirements.
• Monitor and update the raw material, component, and subassembly min/max reorder levels taking into consideration delivery lead times, forecast, and history of usage.
• Conduct as required inventory analysis on assigned raw materials, components, and subassemblies to maximize inventory turns.
• Review monthly dormant, excessive, and obsolete materials and take necessary actions to reduce and/or eliminate them.
• Responsible for submission of deviations and MRP system adjustments to maintain accurate backflushing and inventory levels.
• Participate in production meetings to communicate in advance material problems, offering alternatives and solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Business Administration or related field.
• Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with some applicable experience.
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.

 

HOW TO STAND OUT 

• Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
• Training and/or experience in MRP systems.
• Training and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing.
• Demonstrated capabilities in planning, organization, integration, and control concerning the material planning function.
• Independent thought, good judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.

• Self-motivated with little or no supervision.
