Sr. Sales Manager for the Americas

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing and deploying sales strategies across the Americas, aiming to elevate sales and market presence of StoneAge waterblast products. This leadership position oversees all waterblast sales personnel and channels in the Americas, demanding a keen focus on performance, innovation, and customer satisfaction. You're expected to inspire your team and customers alike and promote StoneAge's commitment to excellence and reliability.
Reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales, your role involves deeply understanding the competitive landscape, identifying growth opportunities, and effectively communicating these strategies across the team. You will ensure that StoneAge stands out in the market, leveraging our strengths to drive sales and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
This starting pay range for this position is between $130K and $160K and requires a visionary leader who can navigate the complexities of the Americas market and drive the team towards achieving and exceeding our sales targets. Requirements
General
- Oversee and develop team. Ensure each team member is properly managing their respective territories. Hold team and individual meetings, giving regular performance and goal achievement feedback.
- Manage RSM sales plans annually.
- Conduct three Own It Chats per year with all direct reports and ensure proper documentation of all performance issues for all team members. Review and give feedback to all team members using the guidance of the Own It Chat process.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's strategic initiatives, products, and services and the North American team’s role in achieving our overall strategic goals.
- Ensure all company and department goals, objectives, and business issues are communicated to all team members.
- Communicate all North American sales, dealer, and team issues to the Global Sales Director.
- Direct problem-solving activities and corrective action for interdepartmental issues and conflicts.
- Participate in company and departmental strategic planning meetings and initiatives when required.
- Effectively utilizes the CRM and holds the team accountable for entering valuable and accurate information.
- Work closely with marketing to develop marketing campaigns that increase sales revenue.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Global Sales Director.
Sales Management
- Provide input to and participate in StoneAge’s strategic planning and initiatives to grow its waterblast market share within the Territory.
- Develop annual and rolling quarterly Territory sales forecast sales, ensuring that they are up to date with the latest market information and that goals are being met or exceeded. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales channels by product segment.
- Identify opportunities for sales process improvement within the Territory and facilitate successful implementation of new sales programs through well-defined goals and planning.
- Implement strategic and tactical tasks that support strategic initiatives to expand and educate customers and end users within the Territory. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, plants, and other end-users in the Territory to promote waterblast tools, automated equipment, and accessories.
- Maintain strong relationships with resellers, Key Accounts, and dealers in the Territory. Communicate and coordinate all reseller and Dealer interactions with the Global Sales Director.
- Give input on pricing and marketing strategies.
- Identify potential candidates for field testing new products. Work with the engineering team to follow up and report field test results.
- Facilitate technical discussions between Engineering and Product Strategy personnel and contractors/end-users to generate new product concepts or address “hard problems” in plants.
- Communicate with the Product Strategy team on new product development ideas, existing product improvement, and product upgrades or failures.
- Provide comprehensive market research on competitive products and potential new product designs to Sales, Engineering, and Product Strategy teams.
- Work with the marketing team to develop branding, campaigns, and other collateral to support strategic initiatives to expand and educate market share within the Territory.
