Job/Position Summary
Performs daily maintenance tasks on equipment (preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance). Carries out new installations (electrical, compressed air, vacuum, drainage, hydraulic systems, etc.) and executes new projects (production line modifications, office area remodeling). Conducts verification rounds on key equipment.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Start up and shut down production support equipment.
- Start emergency equipment such as generators, fire pumps, etc.
- Monitor the performance of air compressors, air dryers, air conditioning units, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Monitor the performance of building equipment such as lighting, water pumps, and extraction systems.
- Manage PM systems within the plant, prepare preventive maintenance reports for building equipment, and process work orders.
- Perform installations for new projects.
- Perform maintenance on main electrical panel and electrical substations and coordinate external vendors for project execution.
- Backup support for key functions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical diagrams.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, air compressors, compressed air systems and pneumatics.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, or percentages.
Education and Experience
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in the field.
- Reading, writing and communicating in English.
- Experience repairing air conditioning and electrical systems.
- Experience in 110V, 220V, 480V monophasic/Triphasic.
Physical/Working Requirements
- Able to comply with requirements for respirator usage.
- Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 45lbs throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in confined places.
- Normal working environment conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment required.
