As the Category Sales Planner, Kinder, you'll develop sales forecasts, implement and improve business processes, and develop and execute allocation strategies. The Category Sales Planner, Kinder Masterbrand has shared responsibility of the Kinder Bueno and Kinder Seasonal Assortment Groups. 
 

This role is based in our North American Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.
 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales forecast inputs at the topline and at multiple sales channel levels using SAP, Advanced Excel, IRI databases and PowerBI to ensure the organization meets financial and sales budgets for fiscal year period
  • Review historical sales trends and research demand drivers using Power BI and IRI reporting to target better forecast accuracy, develop processes to monitor and manage inventory levels, and execute promotional strategies
  • Create ship-to-consumption scenario analysis to provide quantitative relationship between past and future consumption trend, inventory status, order pacing, and category growth
  • Partner with Trade Promotional & Category Management Team to analyze promotional plans, product rollout and its launch to provide directions to the retail team on accurate sales planning
  • Evaluate demand and provide risk mitigation plan to ensure national account managers revise monthly forecast in alignment with the business cycle
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis including shipment: consumption ratios, trend review, forecast accuracy, risk assessment, spoils and waste mitigation, and identification of closeout opportunities
  • Present Sales point of view to influence the demand plan with the Demand and Supply Planning leads
  • Anticipate demand fluctuations as they impact supply plan – distribution changes, consumption trends, promotions, and customer inventory position
  • Lead calls across accounts to review consumption and shipment trends as compared to field forecast; provide recommendations on forecast adjustments where applicable
  • Tentpole activations and promotional activity 

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Sales Planning, Forecasting, or Demand Planning (CPG Preferred) 
  • Advanced Excel skills in order to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to navigate interactions with Senior Leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive cross-functional relationships
  • Solution-oriented 
  • Effective time management; maximize productivity to meet critical monthly check-points
