The Team

Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory Business provides a portfolio of solutions focused on the asset lifecycle, including Asset Management & Operations & Maintenance, Infrastructure Technology, Cybersecurity Solutions, Planning and Transactions. In this role you will be part of the Delivery Team supporting Solutions.

 

You will be working with Infrastructure Advisory’s Strategic Asset Management Solution to deliver a wide range of projects and solutions, including asset management plans, gap assessments, asset management strategies, investment plans, risk and resilience assessments, and maintenance strategies.

The Opportunity

The O&M Project Manager oversees a portfolio of Operations and Maintenance services projects in the power generation, storage, transmission and distribution space, ensuring all contractual services are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and with strong customer service. They manage client relationships, support proposals, pursue new business, and lead a diverse team to achieve project and client goals.

 

While the position is eligible for multiple office locations, the preferred locations for this role are Denver, Kansas City, Bloomington (MN), Chicago, Phoenix, Houston, Charlotte, Tampa, Gaithersburg (MD), and Dallas. Strong candidates in other listed locations will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees teams to deliver projects in line with contractual requirements and company policies.
  • Serves as the primary contact for managing client relationships and client experience.
  • Coordinates project portfolios, which may include multiple projects for one or more clients, to maintain a consistent approach and customer experience across all projects.
  • Accountable for safety, cost efficiency, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Manages designated proposals and contributes to related new business development activities. 

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years O&M experience in Conventional Thermal Generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Solar, T&D systems/substations. 
  • 5+ years leading project management or service delivery
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Able to coach and mentor others
  • Efficient time management  
  • Results-driven with patience
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to self-development and industry updates 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
