About the role

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Equipment Finance Business Development Officer (Senior Lead Credit Product Sales Specialist) responsible for marketing equipment finance products in the South Central Market in close coordination with our Middle Market and Mid-Corporate Market Coverage teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across Commercial Banking.
  • Lead the sourcing of new clients or growing of existing relationships for a given product or specialty in close coordination with coverage teams
  • Understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationships
  • Partner with client teams to independently work on client transactions and advise on peer transactions, including highly complex, larger, and multi-product financing opportunities, including analyzing potential opportunities, structuring, proposing, and selling tailored financial solutions to clients, strategically leading internal coordination, and submitting transactions to management or independent risk for approval
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Partner with product management functional partners to provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively, including large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide strategies
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial lending experience.
  • Strong background in sales and experience in originating new prospective relationships
  • Qualifying and closing a variety of lease and loan financing products with a strong command for analyzing financial results
  • Work cooperatively with internal sales and credit team to submit, credit approve, document and fund transactions ranging from $250M to $50MM+
  • Ability to proactively build a marketing plan to provide coverage for a large geographic area.

Job Expectations:

  • Travel: 50% of the time
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship 
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule 
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
