A key role within Sanofi's Global Tax Reporting (GTR) department, this exciting opportunity would suit an enthusiastic candidate who is keen to progress their career within a complex, global organization. Working closely with the GTR Team, the Senior Tax Reporting Manager will be responsible for assisting and taking charge of various Group’s corporate tax reporting matters.

Every day our team supports our countries and business services Hubs with tax reporting-related queries. The role will suit a confident person who is responsive to the changing needs of our business and who wants to develop a tax reporting specialism to complement their corporate tax knowledge.

Main responsibilities:
- Tax Accounting: Provide operational support by reviewing tax reporting packages, forecasts and cash tax for the group affiliates to ensure information is consistent, correct and meets company (SAGA) and IFRS requirements
- Global Compliance: Act as a key contact for Pillar II reporting (minimum tax), assisting in end-to-end compliance and provide wider support to countries relating to both IIR and QDMTT. Provide support in Country-by-Country Reporting and DAC6 required by OECD
- Digital & Analytics: Provide support to our tax reporting strategy and driving force in making improvements to the Sanofi Tax reporting package and processes both in terms of simplification and user experience. Provide operational support with training, monitoring controls, testing and updates. Digital for tax reporting looks to accelerate innovation in global reporting and compliance and contributing to the company’s broader digital direction
- Tax planning & Advisory: Be exposed to complex international reporting tax matters to help minimize the company tax exposure and coordinating with affiliates where necessary. Providing support to GTR Team in advising affiliates and shared services Hubs on tax consequences of major transactions of the Group: acquisitions and disposals in the year
- Partnering Excellence: Be part of the quarterly reporting process under IFRS and engaging with consolidation team and external auditors. Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Sanofi affiliates and other Sanofi departments such as Transfer pricing, Corporate Tax and Consolidation department
- Internal control & SOX reporting: Ensuring tax risks are appropriately managed by maintaining records and controls for SOA purposes
- Project work: Depending on the workload, be involved more generally on the project of the Global Tax Department, including Digital IT/systems related projects
About you
The Senior Tax Reporting Manager ‘GTR’ should either be a qualified accountant, preferably working in tax or strong practical experience in tax accounting, consolidation, and international accounting standards applicable to quoted MNE, with a desire to build a specialism in tax reporting. The candidate should be collaborative, articulate and with excellent communication skills. They should be technically adept and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Appropriate qualification (Certified or Chartered Accountant, etc.)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience, ideally in-house experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Strong technical skills, in tax accounting under IFRS
- Strong systems skills/experience
- Good analytical skills and desire to achieve results
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative
- Effective communication and influencing skills
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team in a multicultural organization
- Resilience and ability to prioritize when facing confli
