Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Administrative and Financial Officer, Coordinator B will perform a wide variety of duties in support of payroll, personnel, and related record-keeping functions. This position will maintain and update the payroll and personnel system, process monthly and weekly payroll, run payroll reports, and manage related communication. This position will facilitate recruiting, hiring, and onboarding staff, students, interns, postdoctoral researchers, research associates, and instructors. Maintain personnel poster. Maintain faculty payroll records and costing allocations. Create and maintain salary grids. Assist with interview scheduling, travel arrangements, and related expenses for staff searches, and ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and other administrative policies. Process visa applications and renewals, and schedule English proficiency tests. Coordinate arrival and departure of foreign nationals with ISSS. Coordinate visiting professors, including making travel arrangements, processing honorariums, and catering arrangements. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 3-5 years of experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills required.  Candidate must possess computer skills (Windows preferred), including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with additional software and with navigating and creating online resources (web pages, social media, etc.) especially helpful.  Knowledge of University policies and procedures preferred.  Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and maintain efficient record keeping systems essential. Ideal candidate will enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
