Sr Associate Network Technology Support - VOIP

Job Description:

We are looking for a VOIP Associate Network Technology Support to join our AT&T center in Brno. The job involves:

• Responsibility for management of network for Voicemail wireline and VOIP infrastructure to include physical circuits and appliance hardware.
• Application of the necessary tools and engineering principles to create and design the network infrastructure in accordance with approved guidelines.
• Responsibilities may also include working with Labs, product development, and engineering teams to actually author process documentation, methods, procedures, and guidelines for current network planning, capacity management, and network builds.
• Coordinates and interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure service commitments are met.
• Uses engineering tools, various software applications, and databases to assist in creating the engineering documents.
• Manages installation, problem resolution, and multi-vendor product integration.
• May provide initial implementation support of networks to assure proper execution and provides resolution for system failures or degradations.
• Provide project management and documentation as required.
• Develops new concepts, methods and techniques. 
• Knowledge/understanding of network elements such as DS0, DS1, DS3, OCx, O-E-W, PRI/ISDN, Network Hardware such as Modem, CSU/DSU, Multiplexer, Media Voice/IP Gateway, Switch, Router, SIP, MGCP.
• Execution of Linux/Unix commands at the command line
• Basic understanding of BASH and/or Python scripting language would be a plus .
• CCNA knowledge, certification is a plus.
• Switching and routing

 

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience in the field of telecommunications to include both TDM and VoIP networks. 
• Plus knowledge:  Metaswitch appliances, Cisco routers and switches, Adtran MX, F5 SLB, and Session Border Controllers.

 

Education: Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, related field expected

Working hours: EMEA afternoon shift, with flexibility

Location: Brno, 1-3 days in the office after trial period
