The Impact you will have in this role: 

We are seeking an innovative Executive Director, Enterprise Software Testing Strategy & Solutions, to drive our next-generation quality engineering initiatives with a focus on AI, machine learning, and sophisticated automation. The candidate will lead our transformation towards intelligent testing practices while leading a team of subject matter experts to improve software quality and reduce delivery cycle time. This role will require a shown ‘change agent’ that collaborates across Application Delivery, Architecture, Platform Engineering and other functions to build a quality engineering culture and accelerate the adoption of test automation, tooling and practices with a key focus on driving measurable outcomes through metrics.

 

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the effort to build a new function responsible for software testing strategy, test automation, tooling and practices with a focus on AI-powered testing solutions.
• Partner in the strategic development, operation, and dynamic expansion of a comprehensive end-to-end integration testing environment, with the objective of ultimately encompassing the firm’s entire business application ecosystem.
• Define and rollout enterprise test metrics such as requirements coverage, test execution speed, test effectiveness with the aim of driving improvements in DTCC software delivery process as well predictive analytics to help drive a proactive approach to software testing.
• Establish and promote enterprise-wide software testing standard methodologies to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all development teams.
• Develop and implement automated testing strategies across multiple platforms, lead the enterprise test automation framework engineering team and drive the adoption of these frameworks across software delivery teams.
• Drive the adoption of generative AI tools for test case and test data generation and maintenance 
• Be responsible for the integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Partners with senior application delivery leads to drive shift-left strategy by piloting practices like mutation testing and TDD/BDD.
• Lead proof-of-concepts for emerging AI testing tools and frameworks.

Talents needed for Success:

• Great foundations in software engineering and architecture with specific experience in leading a QE or similar function ideally in financial services organizations.
• Skilled in sophisticated AI-driven testing initiatives including test case generation, intelligent test data synthesis, and predictive analytics for optimized test coverage.
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools. 
• Experience hiring, developing talent, and leading a diverse, globally distributed, and inclusive team recognized for delivering results, intellectual horsepower, and collaboration.
• Clear and strategic vision before the art of the possible. Consistent track record to execute with urgency and pragmatism in the current environment.
• Demonstrable ability to create, communicate and ‘sell’ compelling strategies at all levels of the organization. Highly effective at building, cultivating and leveraging relationships.
