Senior IT Project Manager (Energy/Telco Sector)

About the role

On behalf of our client, a leader and innovator in the energy Sector, we are currently looking for a knowledgeable IT Project Manager, to join its IT internal team.

A day in the life of an IT Project Manager

You will be oversee the planning and implementation of an entire IT project from understanding of the need, budgeting, allocating team members, coordinating suppliers to planning the project release. You will work across departments to ensure that critical business needs are met.

Your day-to-day

  • Visualize, direct, organize, implement and monitor a major IT Transformation Project (migration, installation, customizations etc.)
  • Negotiate the project roadmap with internal stakeholders from all Business Units (Directors and Managers); communicates on project status, risks and alterations to Business Units and steering committee
  • Plan project roadmap with BoD and IT Manager to meet companies business targets; manages the delivery of this roadmap and prioritizes all activities to meet agreed CAB priorities
  • Effectively allocate budget within set limitations
  • Organize Demand and Planning Team against projects and analysis
  • Manage and monitor system configuration changes and manage vendor delivered configuration
  • Manage and deliver project portfolio; documents and monitors system and UAT's; monitors system configuration changes
  • Manage outsourced partners (vendors, contractors etc.)

    • Requirements

    What you will need

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • 4+ years’ experience with large scale projects on large scale on ERP, Billing, CRM solutions ideally in the Energy or Telco sector
  • Ability to lead projects both with Agile and Waterfall frameworks
  • Working knowledge of MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and project management online tools
  • Good Understanding on the portfolio of IT solutions for the Energy and/or Telco’s sectors

    • Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE II Certification as Scrum Master and Agile Management desirable
