About the role
Mango Languages is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Paralegal who is experienced in Copyright Law to join our team. In this part-time, remote contractor position, you will collaborate with a team of linguists, designers, and language education experts to create engaging educational materials.
Mango Languages is developing an exciting new world language curriculum to be used in K12 classrooms in the US. The curriculum includes links to external sources such as videos, images, infographics, and websites found on the Internet. As the Paralegal on our team, you will use your legal expertise to review curricular materials and verify that external resources are not copyrighted and are free to be included in a commercial educational product.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Copyright Law, strong communication skills, and a passion for language education. You will work closely with a project manager who will provide the necessary content for review and organized tracking files to document your findings.

Responsibilities
- Review external resources and determine whether use is permitted
- Indicate when an attribution is necessary
- Provide attribution text
- Consistently meet deadlines
- Create and maintain documentation on legal decisions
- Ensure that your work adheres to the guidelines provided by your team lead
- Maintain organized files
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Copyright Law or related field
- Experience with Google Suite (Sheets and Docs)
- Reliable internet connection
