The Sr. Director, Global Facilities will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive facilities strategy and will also play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the design, development, and management of our global fleet. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand departmental needs and ensuring facilities and fleet operations support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
The Sr. Director, Global Facilities will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive facilities strategy and will also play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the design, development, and management of our global fleet. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand departmental needs and ensuring facilities and fleet operations support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Facilities Planning: Develop and lead the implementation of a global facilities strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Provide strategic direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure facilities support the organization's growth and operational efficiency.
- Global Real Estate Oversight: spearhead the oversight of the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of real estate assets globally. Negotiate lease agreements and foster relationships with landlords, ensuring cost-effective and compliant real estate solutions.
- Space Planning and Design: Lead strategic space planning initiatives to optimize functionality, utilization, and efficiency of workspaces. Collaborate closely with architects and designers to create innovative and employee-centric office designs.
- Facilities Operations: Direct day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance and janitorial services. Implement and maintain health and safety standards to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
- Fleet Management: Lead the development and implementation of global policies and procedures for the effective utilization, oversight, and management of Lucid's fleet, ensuring compliance and efficiency across testing vehicles, company cars, and utility vehicles.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Take charge of developing and managing the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Develop and set budgeting parameters for the acquisition and cost-efficient disposition of the company fleet. Identify and champion opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality and employee experience.
- Vendor Management: Select and lead relationships with service providers, contractors, and suppliers. Oversee service level agreements, ensuring vendors meet performance expectations.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance facilities and fleet management, including space utilization tools and building automation systems.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability efforts within facilities management, implementing eco-friendly practices and seeking opportunities to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in business, engineering, architecture, construction, or a related technical field.
- 10-15 years of comprehensive leadership experience overseeing complex programs, personnel, and assets.
- Leadership experience, including managing teams, leading change, and crisis management.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, capacities, design, and performance criteria.
- Working knowledge of government regulations involving facilities operations and environmental health and safety codes.
- Familiarity with industry benchmarking and metrics.
- Experience bidding major service and vendor contracts
- Demonstrated financial analysis skills (cash, P/L, ROI, NPV).
- Well-developed analytical and technical competencies, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to foresee and mitigate risks appropriately.
- Moderate travel may be required to effectively manage the global fleet program.
