Role Summery:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Project Management to lead our newly formed Project Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the PMO will be responsible for ensuring that software projects are managed, measured, and delivered on time. The Senior Director of Project Management will be accountable to the Executive Team for the timelines, escalating issues, identifying resource conflicts, identifying and preventing randomization, and creating a consolidated view of roadmaps and project timelines across multiple business units and initiatives. She/He will have a strong background in software engineering leadership and project management and will be scrum certified with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the newly formed Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure that software projects are managed, measured, and delivered on time.
• Ensuring visibility into consolidated roadmaps and tradeoff discussions with Executive Team and other stakeholders.
• Embody Caring, Drive, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. And expect these values of others.
• Hire, manage and develop Scrum Masters.
• Be accountable for the timelines, escalating issues, identifying resource conflicts, identifying and preventing randomization, and creating a consolidated view of roadmaps and project timelines across multiple business units and initiatives.
• Coach and up-skill the technology organization and leadership.
• Introduce Scrum processes and ensure that the company adheres to the SDLC process and tools.
• Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
• Plan project management activities, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
• Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Scrum certification.
• 20+ years of experience in software engineering leadership and project management.
• Prior VP level Experience in Software Engineering
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and technicalities.
• Excellent organizational and technical abilities.
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and project management tools.
• Demonstrable experience successfully developing and coaching 360 – your team, your peers, and your supervisor.
• Previous Start-up experience with a successful Exit.
