What will you do?

A day in the life of a Product Data Coordinator at Vans looks a little like this.

You will be primarily responsible for PLM data management, supporting the global product team.  You will play a critical role in managing the source data in PLM systems that drive our business. Responsibilities will include PLM data integrity, communicating best-practices, working directly with the centralized VF data teams on implementation of new practices, attributes, and values.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Support in managing PLM data, Ability to work in partnership w/the master data and global product teams to support general data integrity.
  • Creation of PLM material records, requesting and management of PLM colorcodes, handling SMS grids.
  • Ability to analyze data anomalies, identify issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage process, reporting, communication against multiple overlapping seasons of product creation calendars. 

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1-3 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Familiarity with PLM systems (Enovia, Flex, etc…) and Microsoft Excel is a must.  Familiarty with with Tableau, Power BI and other analytical software is a bonus.
  • High written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional workstreams.
  • Proficient skills using Flex PLM or related software.
  • High organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen – can address challenges to guide practical and meaningful change in the business.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and transform the ways of working across cross-functional groups

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience working in footwear or apparel material development
