Job Description

Patient Care Technician – Pre-Surgical Center

 

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Patient Care Technician at our Main Campus. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact in our Pre-Surgical Center.

 

Role Overview:

• Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist our patients in a timely, and efficient manner
• Handle situations with a high-level of integrity and compassion
• Responsible for taking vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collections
• Collaborate with the clinical team, providing assistance with procedures when needed
• Use basic computer and data entry skills

 Key Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of healthcare related experience in either a NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Phlebotomist, LPN discipline.
• If less than 2 years of experience, then a Nursing Assistant or other healthcare related certification within the past year and one year healthcare related experience (NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Phlebotomist, LPN is required.
• BLS certification required by the time of hire.

 Pay Range: $22.11-$30.62/hr

Additional Information:

• Location: MSK’s Main Campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10021
• Schedule: 8 hour shifts flexed between 10am-8pm with Saturday and holiday rotation
