Responsibilities

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for assisting the QC team with staying compliant with Agency, Investor, and Regulatory guidelines as it relates to the audit setup, loan import, and reverifications, including tracking the progress of the reverifications. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for completing all reverifications and tracking the progress of the reverifications. The Quality Control Analyst I is also responsible for performing the GSA/LDP Audit for all Mortgage associates, on a quarterly basis.

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $18.25/hour - $29.75/hour. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Create the monthly audits for Prefund (Full Review and Component Review), Random, Discretionary, Adverse Action, and Early Payment Default (EPD)/Non-performing Loans (NPL).
  • Make loan selections and assign loans for each of the monthly audits.
  • Create monthly questionnaires for each of the monthly audits, removing any deactivated questions as specified in the monthly release from the vendor.
  • Keep abreast of all reverification guidelines and updating procedures as changes occur.
  • Maintain knowledge of all underwriting guidelines.
  • Process reverification requests for all selected loans, based on the audit parameters, adhering to Agency requirements.
  • Perform a detailed and thorough review of reverification documentation for data integrity; including but not limited to tax transcripts, borrower income/employment, assets, credit history, rent, property valuations, and owner-occupancy.
  • Order appraisal reviews on selected QC loan files through a 3rd party vendor.
  • Document attempts made to reverify all required information, including multiple attempts to obtain a reverification on “no response” requests, and ensuring completion within required timeframe.
  • Communicate inconsistencies observed on reverifications obtained, to the QCA2 and QCA3.
  • Perform administrative functions as assigned by management.
  • Assist teammates in the department with work as needed.
  • Ensure all job procedures as related to role are current in relation to agency, investor, regulatory, and internal guidelines and reviewed at least annually.
  • Complete meeting minutes for all meetings as assigned by management with delivery to management for distribution in a timely manner.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
