About the role

 

The Inpatient Supervisor is a trusted leader who supports our mission by partnering closely with care teams across multiple inpatient units to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. This night-shift role offers the opportunity to collaborate, think big-picture, and make thoughtful decisions that support both patients and staff. This position is responsible for mobilizing staff to ensure safe patient care in all areas. Working 6 pm to 6 am with flexibility to meet department needs, this position typically schedules 36 to 40 hours per week and plays a vital role in keeping teams connected and supported overnight.

Schedule/Benefits

 

         Full Time, Flexible scheduling 36-40 hours per week

         Night shift 6pm-6am preferred, there is some flexibility within these hours.

         Benefit eligible, including medical, dental, vision plans, retirement with company match, and generous PTO accrual, including 16 hours of PTO front-loaded

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

 

         Lead and coordinate each child’s care plan, working closely with the care team, the child, and their family to support meaningful outcomes

         Make sure clinical care is delivered safely, consistently, and in line with best practices and ChildServe guidelines

         Ensure the right staff are in place by supporting scheduling, supervision, and ongoing performance feedback

         Respond to questions or concerns from families, staff, and partners with professionalism and care

         Build strong relationships and encourage open communication across teams

         Serve as on call support for medical group homes when needed

         Support staff growth, engagement, and job satisfaction to promote long term retention

         Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve care, workflows, and team effectiveness

 

What You’ll Need

 

         Licensure to practice as an RN in the State of Iowa

         Preferred: 5 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.

         Preferred: Specialty nursing certifications (CPN, CBIS, CRRN)

         Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

         Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

         Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language.
