About the Role
The Junior Sales & Business Development Specialist supports the sales organization by managing Salesforce operations, lead generation, configurator administration, and cross-departmental coordination. In addition, this role contributes to business development initiatives, inside sales activities, and gains initial field sales experience by flexibly stepping into vacant roles or supporting strategic focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and research new market segments and growth opportunities.
- Assist in developing go-to-market strategies for new products or services.
- Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns and outreach.
- Support strategic initiatives such as partnerships, pilot programs, and regional expansions.
Lead Generation & Inside Sales
- Maintain AI-based lead generation tools.
- Pre-qualify and assign leads; handle incoming sales calls.
- Conduct initial customer outreach and qualification via phone/email.
- Contact potential reloads over the phone.
Field Sales Exposure
- Flexibly support field sales activities when needed due to vacancies or business priorities.
- Participate in customer site visits and trade shows.
Salesforce & CRM Operations
- Maintain CRM database integrity: actively improve quality and quantity.
- Support ongoing Salesforce projects.
- Train new sales reps in Salesforce.
- Territory mapping and assignment.
- Create reports and dashboards; perform CRM-based data analysis.
- Assist in various sales support tasks along the sales process
Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years project coordination experience desired
- Exposure to business development or inside sales is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents and simple instructions.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- SAP preferred but not required
- Salesforce experience required
