Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Digital IC Design Intern. The Digital IC Design Intern will be exposed to a wide variety of design and verification tasks including RTL linting, simulation and debug, logic equivalence checking, synthesis, static-timing-analysis, automatic test pattern generation and place-and-route. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in RTL design using hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or System Verilog
• Develop and maintain testbenches for digital circuits to ensure functionality and correctness
• Conduct simulations to verify the functionality and performance of digital designs
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation of design and verification activities
• Seek opportunities to optimize and automate tasks through scripting and tool development
• Seek mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers to develop your skills

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college
• GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date
• Understanding of digital design principles and hardware description languages
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL for task automation
• Familiarity with ASIC design flow, simulation tools, and verification is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Prior internship or coursework related to ASIC design and verification is a bonus
