Your Career

The current market lacks an effective solution to securely deliver globally consistent app experiences. When using existing security solutions, poor app performance and limited observability can cost customers billions of dollars per year in lost productivity. Palo Alto Networks’ App Acceleration solution is the only solution available to boost performance of both private and public apps. 

PANW’s App Acceleration group is in search of a motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our team.

You will be responsible for designing and developing new and innovative solutions to enable users to configure, monitor and visualize app acceleration. You will take ownership of large software components, help in the design of the architecture,  apply your knowledge to functional design, utilize your programming skills for efficient and robust implementation, and interact with quality assurance in the whole software development cycle. 

Your Impact

• Tackle new and challenging problems by building innovative solutions involving UI, REST APIs and DB

• Solve complex UI problems and build the necessary support on the backend

• Participate in architecture, design and development of features needed for app acceleration

• Research, suggest, and implement different frameworks suited to the solution

• Be able to design complex test cases for the system and work with the QA team

• Suggest and implement improvements to the development processes

Qualifications

Your Experience

• BSc in Computer Science or relevant experience

• 5+ years' experience in software development

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Typescript, JavaScript, Golang

• Experience with ReactJS

• Experience with at least one of Neo4j (preferred)/MySQL/PostgresQL

• Experienced in building RESTful APIs and API Communication

• Good grasp of asynchronous programming

• Experience working within a Linux environment

• Able to troubleshoot system-level integration and performance issues

• Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies

• Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute

• Enjoys working with different teams with strong collaboration and communication skills 

Nice to have:

• Experienced in other modern web frameworks and build tools such as Svelte, VueJS

• Experience in specifying and testing REST APIs with Swagger and Postman

• Experience with charting and dashboarding

• Understanding of authentication/authorization standards/frameworks

• Familiarity with fast in-memory data structure store and graph database

• Experience with Cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS

• Experience in writing secure code

• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes ecosystems is a plus

• MSc/PhD is a plus
