Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Study Director in Ecotoxicology to work for our Easton, MD site.

Study Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Completes work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
  • Conducts and monitors studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality.
  • Writes reports on studies.
  • Works with independence on studies and assignments. 
  • May serve as a technical leader within a group or team and will also serve as project leader/study director on assigned projects.
  • May provide complex analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments
  • Serves as point of contact for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. biology, zoology, environmental science, marine or fisheries science) with 15 years of experience
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field and 10 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and experience.
  • A PhD in a relevant field may be substituted for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and experience.
  • In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with sterile culture techniques.
  • GLP experience required.
  • GLP study director or project management experience required.
  • Regulatory testing for the agriculture industry preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm, with additional hours required as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
