About the role
<p><strong>Position Summary </strong></p>
<p>To advance <a href="https://teachforall.org/our-purpose">Teach For All’s 25-year vision</a>, we are seeking a<strong> Global Lead, Early Stage Strategy & Support</strong> to ensure our ability to provide high-impact support to entrepreneurs launching new organizations that align to Teach For All’s model. Success in this role will mean that:</p>
<ul>
<li>Founding teams and CEOs have access to the learning experiences, resources, and support that they need in order to launch high-impact, sustainable, independent organizations aligned to the Teach For All network’s core purpose, values, and approach</li>
<li>Teach For All staff are equipped to deliver strong, cohesive support that reflects our organizational principles and values</li>
<li>The policies and processes guiding Teach For All’s pre-partnership support and partnership decisions are implemented rigorously and consistently</li>
</ul>
<p>This role will report to the current Global Lead, Early Stage Strategy & Support and will be a part of the Collective Learning and Consulting team. This role will collaborate closely with a diverse array of internal colleagues across regional and functional teams, and will liaise with external stakeholders from a wide variety of national contexts. </p>
<p><strong>About the Team </strong></p>
<p>The Collective Learning and Consulting<em> </em>team is a diverse group of over 20 staff members with an array of expertise, ranging from teacher recruitment and professional development to governance to public/private sector partnerships. In collaboration with others, the Collective Learning and Consulting team drives aggregate impact across the network by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Distilling and sharing insights</li>
<li>Designing and facilitating meaningful learning opportunities and communities in virtual, in-person and blended spaces</li>
<li>Providing tailored coaching and consulting to early stage entrepreneurs and current network partners</li>
<li>Contributing insights on education, leadership, and system change to the broader global ecosystem</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p>
<p><strong>Provide strategic partnership on executing Teach For All’s Early Stage Approach and Philosophy</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as a key advisor to regional portfolio leads on:</li>
<ul>
<li>Pursuing proactive efforts to raise awareness of the Teach For All approach among high-potential entrepreneurs</li>
<li>Diagnosing prospective partner needs at different points in their journey to launch</li>
<li>Leveraging Teach For All’s resources and connections to support entrepreneurs </li>
<li>Navigating challenges and tensions in the launch process</li>
</ul>
<li>Support in the execution of Teach For All’s early stage policies and processes throughout the launch process, including:</li>
<ul>
<li>Engaging a proactive strategy to connect with potential entrepreneurs and champions</li>
<li>Signing MOUs, licensing agreements, and subgrant agreements with prospective partners</li>
<li>Providing intensive pre-partnership support to entrepreneurs</li>
<li>Contributing to partnership decisions when entrepreneurs become eligible to join the network</li>
<li>Navigating disputed territories and geopolitical sensitivities</li>
</ul>
<li>Maintain an ongoing bird’s-eye view of the global early stage pipeline to inform strategic shifts based on emerging needs and opportunities </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Develop learning experiences and resources to support entrepreneurs seeking to launch strong, sustainable organizations that are aligned to the Teach For All model</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>In partnership with regional and functional colleagues, develop and maintain a suite of offerings that support entrepreneurs to:</li>
<ul>
<li>Develop a contextualized understanding of their organization’s theory of problem, vision, and theory of change</li>
<li>Create programmatic strategies around teacher placement, recruitment/selection, training/support, and impact measurement that advance the broader organizational vision</li>
<li>Build partnerships with diverse stakeholders - including communities, public sector representatives, and private sector champions - in order to secure the resources and support necessary to launch and generate long-term momentum towards system change</li>
<li>Develop foundations for strong governance, financial management, and staffing/organizational culture</li>
<li>Strengthen their own personal leadership in service of this work</li>
</ul>
<li>Ensure that the holistic repository of resources available to entrepreneurs is cohesive, accessible, and reflects the Teach For All network’s diversity and current insights</li>
<li>Foster community and connections between entrepreneurs at similar phases of the launch process, as well as with other Teach For All network partners and members of the global organization</li>
</ul>
