The Division of Habitat & Species Conservation is comprised of six Sections and two offices. This position works within the Aquatic Habitat Conservation and Restoration Section (AHCR) of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Habitat and Species Conservation.
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and seven years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, or administrative work. A bachelor’s degree can substitute for four of the seven years’ experience.
Description of Duties:
- This position provides administrative support for AHCR Field Offices and staff statewide including but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary requestor for Purchase Orders and processing of invoices.
- Maintain vehicle usage information, mileage/hour readings, condition, fuel log, days down, preventative maintenance, work order, etc. within asset management software or portal.
- Manage contracts associated with routine maintenance and upkeep of each office and lab facilities.
- Obtain written quotes or bids, interview bidders and produce quote packages associated with regularly scheduled building services including lawn care, janitorial services, pest control, etc. Obtain quotes for building repairs and improvements.
- Assist staff with purchasing goods and services using the State of Florida purchasing card (PCard) acting as a super buyer for the AHCR Section.
- Maintain inventory records of herbicide for AHCR Field Offices.
- Completes orders for statewide staff and assists with maintaining inventory of office supplies as needed.
- Serve as the AHCR property and fuel purchase administrator.
- Assist with travel arrangements and reimbursements for program staff.
