Position Summary
You’ll be helping to build out the data science practice of the data and analytics team at Nestlé Purina Petcare in a group known as “thehive”. This group is a business function that has a deep expertise in data analytics that is helping transform the way the organization leverages data. As an Associate Data Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering analytical solutions to functional areas of the business such as Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, etc. Through Microsoft Azure, you will help deliver insights to both Product Owners and Product Users. You will collaborate with fellow Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Solution Developers, and others to execute and deliver working solutions to end users. Working as a collaborative member of thehive team, you will use data science and machine learning techniques to help drive deep data analysis and uncover insights that will enable the business to make strong and strategic decisions. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Leverage advanced analytics techniques and tools (i.e. Python) 
• Have the ability to learn and adapt to new technology. 
• Work in conjunction with other data engineers, platform engineers, solution developers, and others to execute and deliver working solutions to the end users. 
• Perform data science activities as well as possess data engineering skills that will enable the rapid delivery of analytics solutions to the business. 
• Identify opportunities that will deliver value for the business and also for the improvement of thehive

 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from and accredited college or university
• Professional experience utilizing Python Machine Learning packages
• Working experience with Pandas DataFrames to transform and analyze datasets 
• Working experience with REST API requests
• Working experience with JSON objects
• Experience working in a DevOps environment
