Job Description:

GDIT’s DOJ/OJP team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Developer to join our agile teams.   As part of our agile team, you will be working closely with other agile team members and Federal staff to implement and maintain the Cold Fusion based web applications.

Job Requirements:

  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
  • Performs all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Analyzes user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
  • Creates a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
  • Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
  • Provides analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
  • Thoroughly documents the software or system for future maintenance and updates
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in ColdFusion development.
  • Experience with CFCs and custom frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with relational databases like SQL Server (incl. T-SQL)
  • Experience with MySQL is a plus.
  • Experience with JSON and XML processing.
  • Experience with design and development of visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces compliant with WCAG2.1 or higher.
  • Understanding user experience principles, wireframing, prototyping, and responsive design are crucial for effective UI/UX development. 

Additional desired qualifications 

  • ColdFusion certification (optional)
  • Familiarity with one or more ColdFusion MVC frameworks.
  • Familiarity with developer tools like ColdFusion Builder, VS Code, SSMS, Git.
  • Familiarity with AWS.

Skills 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Secure coding experience

Education 

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • A master's degree or professional software development experience may be preferred for remote position.

Contract Requirements:

  • Contract Requires US Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Agency specific Public Trust clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
