Job Description

Evolution is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will support the Engineering Department by leading electrical engineering projects, utilizing CAD for designing and interpretation, supervisor specialists and contractors and other job duties as assigned, 

• Analyzing CAD technical drawings and interpreting specifications to determine the electrical requirements of given construction and engineering plans. 

• Creating and maintaining electrical infrastructure drawings in AutoCAD, and developing procedures and schemes relating to electrical design, installation, and audit for studio, server room, and office locations. 

• Liaising with other engineers (both external and internal) to evaluate received proposals and ensure system commissioning and overall customer satisfaction. 

• Developing recommendations and providing estimates for the development or improvement of new or existing electrical systems. 

• Managing or supervising specialists and sub-contractors working on the company's electrical installations. 

• Ensuring the fulfillment of all project deadlines and budgetary requirements. 

• Performing field visits / site surveys to verify that installations are built correctly. 

• Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting electrical equipment. 

• Performing quality assurance checks and providing maintenance support for major electrical components, including UPS systems and backup generators. 

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety codes – NEC, International Building Code, OSHA, etc. 

• Conducting annual electrical infrastructure audits and recording results. 

• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical engineering and construction best practices. 

• Perform other duties, as asked by the manager, which are related to this position and are necessary to the success of the company. 

• Managing / Supervising Junior Engineers 

Qualifications

• A BS degree in Electrical Engineering with PE registration (or the ability to quickly acquire PE multi-state comity licensure) or equivalent experience. 

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation for creating and interpreting electrical drawings. 

• 10+ years of experience in electrical system design and analysis. 

• Experience with new construction and retrofitting existing office/server rooms, including maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems. 

• Proven project leadership and the ability to manage self-directed work independently to complete complex work assignments. 

• Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills. 

• Ability to collaborate and manage timeline expectations as part of a global project team. 

• The physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently (Medium Work - Level 3). 

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
