Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Data Management & Governance, the Senior Analyst, Data Management & Governance ensures quality, consistency, integrity, and proper use of key enterprise data. This role acts as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams for assigned data domains, collaborating with stakeholders, data owners, and technology partners to implement the data governance framework

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned data domains, acting as the liaison between business, technical, and Data & Analytics teams 
  • Implement, monitor and maintain data governance policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.   
  • Monitor and enforce data quality standards across critical data domains 
  • Perform data profiling and analysis and collaborate with data owners and technical teams to diagnose data quality issues and trends, identify root causes, and develop remediation plans. 
  • Track and report on data quality metrics and key performance indicators 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation including business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage 
  • Assist in the development of data standards and best practices 
  • Partner with Finance, Risk, Practice Operations, and Talent & Culture to embed data standards in practice-management, time & expense, workpaper, and CRM systems. 
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve data trust, transparency, and accessibility including support of master data management initiatives and data integration projects 
  • Support the development and delivery of data governance training programs 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field 
  • 5-7 years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data quality management 
  • Proven experience implementing data governance frameworks and policies 
  • Proficiency in SQL, data profiling, and data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar). 
  • Experience with data governance platforms and metadata management tools 
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling. 
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in professional services, accounting, or financial services
  • Certification in data governance (CDMP, DGSP) or data quality highly desirable
  • Knowledge of GDPR/CCPA and professional-services confidentiality/independence considerations

The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 to $130,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
