Our challenge

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Java Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing code and ensure the quality and performance of software application.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Chicago, IL is $100k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Write core java code adhering to overall architecture and design of existing applications.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve any issues reported by QA / Test Analysis.
• Understand performance metric and factors affecting the performance and find ways to improve it.
• Leverage automation for increased efficiency.
• Track own progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Bring in fresh ideas to make improvements.
• Participate in code reviews for own as well as others’ code.
• Work with other teams involved in project life-cycle.

Requirements:

Preferred, but not required:

• Work experience in PCF, Google Cloud Platform is plus.
• Experience in trading domain.
• Good exposure various database NOSQL, Couchbase, Cassandra.
