Camp Maintenance Technician

General Description:

Camp maintenance tech supports the overall operation and general maintenance of camps including but not limited to plumbing. lighting, refrigeration equipment, and heating systems,

 

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Maintain and repair all aspects of the camp facilities.
• Work with specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings to support proper installation, maintenance, and repair of structures and equipment.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete required work.
• Complete carpentry work to maintain and repair camp buildings.
• Document and record all work performed, parts used, and parts required.
• Perform plumbing assessments and repairs.
• Maintenance and repair of heating systems.
• Snow and ice removal as needed.

• Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
  • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
  • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
  • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong working knowledge of general camp maintenance operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a remote camp environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping and documentation.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license
• NSTC card
• Minimum of two years of camp maintenance experience, 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working on the Alaska North Slope or in remote Arctic environments.
• Experience with envirovac systems and remote water/wastewater operations.
• Trade certifications or vocational training related to maintenance disciplines.
