RN Staff Development & Education Nurse

Clay County Care Center is hiring now for a RN Staff Development and Education Nurse.

Position Summary:

The RN Staff Development and Education Nurse, will plan, organize, develop, and direct all in service education in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
• Six (6) months skilled nursing experience preferred
• Teaching/education experience preferred
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment

Specific Job Requirements:

• Responsible for overseeing instruction of Certified Nursing Assistant training program
• Desire and ability to effectively train and educate all nursing associates and other associates as applicable
• Expert knowledge in field of practice
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Maintains professional working relationships with all staff, residents, resident family and vendors
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Ethics and completes mandatory clinical regulatory and other appropriate compliance training

Essential Functions:

• Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation
• Maintain associate training and in service records
• Assist in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients and staff
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Typical Shifts are 8am-5pm or 7am-7pm
