Responsibilities
The Descriptive Systems Modeling Group at Draper is looking for an Engineer who can join a Systems Engineering team and help develop SysML Models for the next generation missiles, spacecraft & autonomous vehicles that are critical for our Nation’s defense. This is an excellent opportunity for new college graduates who would like to gain experience with modern model based systems engineering approaches.
Candidates for this position should be enthusiastic to pick up new skills during the course of their career, and the ideal candidate is willing to pursue additional learning and training and obtain OMG Systems Modeling certification and/or graduate study in Systems Engineering.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and 0-2 years of experience
- Python scripting and software development
- Modeling dynamics with Matlab & Simulink
- Ability to work and succeed within a process-oriented team
- Great verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some understanding of SysML & Systems Modeling
- Experience developing Requirements, Interface Control Documents, System Design Descriptions, and/or Verification Plans, as part of a Capstone project, classwork, or internship experience.
- Knowledge and familiarity with aerospace systems and related sciences
- Knowledge and familiarity with digital electronics design and/or embedded programming
