As a CoE Contracting Manager, you will serve as a functional subject matter expert and be responsible for driving operational excellence, continuous process improvement, robust knowledge management practices, and enterprise-wide training initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring standardization and optimization of processes. Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Evaluate existing supplier management frameworks and workflows to identify inefficiencies, automate routine tasks, and drive continuous improvement. Design, implement, and maintain standardized process workflows across the end-to-end supplier lifecycle.
Knowledge Management & Best Practices: Build, curate, and maintain the ESM Supplier Management Knowledge Base (including playbooks, tools, templates). Ensure enterprise-wide accessibility, accuracy, and adoption of critical third-party management documentation.
Training, Enablement & Coaching: Develop and deliver training programs, onboarding modules, and continuous learning sessions.
Governance & Risk Framework Standardization: Establish standardized metrics, performance dashboards, and periodic review frameworks. Partner closely with internal risk, compliance, and other teams to embed standard risk oversight into everyday operational processes.
Strategic Consulting & Continuous Innovation: Act as a CoE advisor to internal business leads, helping them solve complex challenges, identify value-generating opportunities (e.g., cost savings, process efficiencies, or innovation), and stay ahead of external marketplace trends.
Performance Analytics & Governance: Leverage data and insights to assess process adoption, standard compliance, and supplier ROI, recommending strategic adjustments as necessary.
Note: Limited travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Contracting or Third Party Supplier Management
At least 1 year of experience developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), governance frameworks, or enterprise training programs
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Procurement,Contracting, or Third Party Supplier Manager within a regulated industry
Experience building and maintaining enterprise knowledge repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint)
Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience training cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Deep understanding of third party management, sourcing, contracting frameworks, and third-party compliance standards

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Sales Territory: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Contracts
