Key Role Details
This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025.
Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance in our McLean offices, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program.
Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our Finance Rotation Program, with a start date in July 2026 following the completion of the internship.
Candidates should be open to all locations where the business has a presence.
At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (i.e. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, or another type of work authorization).
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2026 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2025 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2026, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)
Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or relevant major

Your projects may include:
Driving new insights and efficiencies through specific project-based work using data visualizations tools, and data manipulation / modeling skills (i.e. Python, SQL)
Analyzing key business drivers such as customer and asset volume, attrition, losses and margins
Improving forecasting models through the analysis of key business trends
Assisting in the filing of externally reported financial statements

A demonstrated interest in financial management, technology aptitude and digital learning
Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
