We are looking for an experienced Procurement Governance Lead with a strong background in compliance to join our Procurement team.

This role involves overseeing and enhancing the Reserve Bank’s procurement governance frameworks, systems, and processes to ensure greater efficiency, transparency, and value for money.

Job Requirements

  • Support the review and ongoing development of the Bank’s procurement and contract management guidelines, supporting processes and tools.

  • Provide guidance and support for Bank stakeholders responsible for procurement sourcing activities and contract outcomes.

  • Develop and lead Bank wide procurement and contract management training to support ongoing practice uplift.

  • Support the ongoing review and management of enterprise-wide procurement and third-party risks. Includes integration of the Bank’s risk management framework and associated prudential controls (i.e. CPS230) 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks for all policies, procedures, tools, and systems.

  • Conduct analysis and reporting on procurement and related compliance activities.

About You

  • 5 years + relevant procurement experience.

  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes, policies, and best practices. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards, include a working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and prudential standards (i.e. CPS230) is desirable.

  • Experience in refining and improving procurement policies, templates, and tools.

  • Experience in managing strategic suppliers, including handling complex issues such as audits, disputes, and renegotiations.

  • Proven ability to manage complex relationships with business stakeholders to influence outcomes.

  • Advanced experience in contract management and providing commercial advice and understanding business strategies and procurement needs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to overcome challenges and influence positive behaviour.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in supply chain management, finance, business or a related field and relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.

Your Team:

You will report to the Manager of Supplier and Contract Management and collaborate closely with the broader Procurement team, Legal section, Audit and Risk Management Departments, and other key stakeholders. This role represents an opportunity to guide initiatives across the entire procurement lifecycle, influencing important initiatives to reduce risk in an efficient and effective manner that promotes sustained performance uplift and value for money.
