This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

The Technical Community Leader is mainly responsible for facilitating and providing the necessary leadership and coordinative support to enable education and knowledge sharing within his or her community. Community Leaders provide overall guidance and management perpetually aligning the community with HPE strategy.

Other responsibilities of the Technical Community Leader are:

  • Identify key content and resources in the subject matter area and work with content leaders to advise on how to better communicate, promote and position the content for the community, and also to other internal and external (channel partners) audiences if applicable
  • Ensures that HPE Tech Pro is a key forum for building capability and sharing practice
  • Create a congenial, professional community by establishing and maintaining a setting with respectful and appropriate dialogue, knowledge-sharing and exchange of views
  • Lead and foster useful and spirited discussions
  • Motivate active participation in their communities
  • Work with other Community Leaders to agree on a group standard for best practices
  • Recognize members’ varying levels of experience, coach and encourage people when needed
  • Advise on interaction with other relevant discussions about other domains or cross-HPE solutions and technologies
  • Lead the corresponding Ambassador community to represent customer needs and challenges, technical insights and feedback in line with the purpose and objectives of the new Ambassadors program by facilitating two-way communication and consultation between the community and the GBUs
  • Design and orchestrate the subject matter track at the technical regional events and lead community moments
  • Measure and evaluate the community’s contributions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
  • Typically 15+ years experience in a technical role
  • Demonstrates strong domain expertise across HPE's portfolio of products and solutions, specifically storage technologies
