Barbaricum seeks an experienced Requirements Engineer to provide expert-level systems engineering support to the Army’s Project Manager for Interoperability, Integration, and Services (PMI2S). This senior position will play a key role in executing Army modernization priorities, in particular network interoperability that ensures the security and fidelity of information transmitted across networks to help simplify and streamline warfighter tasks. The Requirements Engineer will decompose and allocate strategic level requirements/needs from CDDs, ICDs, and CONOPS, as appropriate, while implementing strategic plans and programs in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Requirements Engineer will maintain consistency with the Product Manager for Command Post Integrated Infrastructure (PdM CPI2) requirements process and strategy by developing engineering artifacts, requirements documentation, and traceability.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance (TS and above preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in System Engineering
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Management
- Demonstrated experience with Technical Data Packages, configuration management, and Maintenance Engineering
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes
- Demonstrated experience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioning
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering disciplines to identify technical product characteristics to develop requirements specifications
- Experience writing requirements documentation and coordinating release through approval processes
- Experience with PTC Windchill or similar tool for archiving and configuration management of TDP
- Experience with DOORS or similar tool for requirements management, decomposition and publication
Desired Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in Systems Engineering
- Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior management and to teams.
- Familiarity with program and design review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, FRR, etc.)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
- Demonstrated knowledge of Army Platforms - JLTV, MTVS, LTVs, APMV, SBC
- Demonstrated Experience in Command Post Operations
