This exciting new opportunity within the refreshed IT/OT Procurement and Supplier Management team will give you the first hand opportunity to be a part of a global team and contribute to innovative projects across all of RWE’s businesses including Renewables, Energy Trading and much more.</p> <p> </p> <p>Your future plans<br/> Your top responsibility will be to proactively drive large strategic and/or complex sourcing activities (RFx) within you assigned categories on a global basis according to our respective Category Strategy. Backed by expertise, your thoughtful and strong execution will increase business value and ensure that the external products and services are delivered to the right quality, in time, and to a competitive cost. Due to your experience and seniority, your thoughts will also help us to modernise the respective Category Strategies over time.</p> <p> </p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <p><br/> Executing strategic initiatives and developing value creating sourcing strategies</p> <ul> <li>Using deep IT knowledge, you will carry out large and/or complex RFx process to deliver our strategic plan (as prepared by the Global Category Manager)</li> <li>Proficiently moderating our procurement and RFX processes to deliver the highest potential value-add</li> <li>Having an excellent understanding of global IT markets and relevant IT/OT trends as well as  relevant emerging technologies and overall supply chain risks/opportunities</li> <li>eSourcing and eAuction systems will be easily applied by you, maintaining standardized bidding templates for efficient sourcing execution</li> <li>Preparing and executing of your sub-category tender plan to ensure spend is under contract</li> </ul> <p><br/> Minimising supply chain risk and maximises performance</p> <ul> <li>Building a strong and trusted network of relevant suppliers and potential suppliers , and utilizing these whilst tendering</li> <li>Ensuring that supply risk is reduced by generating accurate insights on relevant supply market risks, assess probability of occurrence, plan and execute mitigation actions working with the respective Global Category Manager and other stakeholders</li> <li>Interfacing with our IT/OT Supplier Management team will ensure strong supplier performance against our contracts</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Acting responsibility and in a sustainable manner</p> <ul> <li>Fostering innovation in our sourcing activities and contracts</li> <li>Ensuring our businesses are familiar with framework contracts, and having dialogues to reduce maverick spend</li> <li>Maintaining high ethical standards and high levels of integrity</li> <li>Even more importantly, you will build a strong trust-based network of internal stakeholders across our business,  at all levels and on an international basis</li> <li>Based on your expertise, challenging IT/OT requirements will be second nature to you, in order to improve the overall outcomes for RWE</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Your Profile</p> <ul> <li>Deep experience in all tender related procurement practices</li> <li>Relevant IT/OT supply market knowledge, with an interest to keep abreast on current trends and threats</li> <li>Expert knowledge of P2P and e-Sourcing platforms, with a good knowledge of relevant financial principles</li> <li>Strong influencing, and negotiation skills</li> <li>High flexibility and willingness, attentive to detail and welcoming to new approaches or ideas</li> <li>Strong organisational, change and project management skills allow you to deliver to schedule/targets, lead stakeholders through tender processes, but also work cooperatively with others to find win-win solutions</li> <li>Willingness to travel to our operational/office sites and key suppliers</li> <li>Excellent proficiency in English; German language skills beneficial but not essential</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><a href="http://www.rwe.com/karriere" target="_blank">rwe.com/career</a></p> <p>From here, you benefit from many further advantages – Curious?
