Position Overview
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire an Office Associate for the Elgin Mental Health Center located in Elgin, Illinois. This position will perform a variety of complex and responsible clerical duties, including keyboarding, record-keeping and maintaining detailed documentation for both intra-facility and community-based medical clinics. The role also involves generating reports, managing clinical records and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of Medical Services at Elgin Mental Health Center.
Essential Functions
- Performs a variety of complex and responsible clerical duties related to intra-facility and external, contractual and non-contractual medical clinics as well as Employee Health Programs within the Medical Services Department at Elgin Mental Health Center.
- Assigns and schedules patients for various clinics.
- Prepares and processes paperwork required for all clinic visits whether they are within the facility, another State facility or an outside hospital or infirmary.
- Maintains filing and tickler system for both patient and staff information.
- Utilizes electronic data base to manage records for the Medical Services programs, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of information.
- Manages appointment scheduling and visitor
